- 1/4 cup bajra flour
- 1 1/2 cup mix chopped methi, palak, kothmir
- 1/2 cup grated cabbage and ginger
- 1 inch grated ginger
- 1 tbsp Green chilli paste
- as per taste Salt
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp cumin coriander powder
- 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/4th cup buttermilk or less
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 7-8 curry leaves
- As required Chopped coriander
Instructions to make to make Methi palak muthiya dhokla
- In a bowl take all the vegetables, add all masala, add lemon juice, add 1 tbsp oil.
- Add 1/4 cup bajra flour & 1 cup whole wheat flour, mix them all together, if needed add buttermilk - prepare soft dough.
- Take small dough and prepare small muthiya- put them on greased perforated plate.
- Put on steamer- cover it and cook on medium to low flame for 15-20 minutes.
- When it is done- take it out.let it cool down - cut it into small pieces.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil - when oil is hot, add mustard, sesame, curry leaves and pinch of asafoetida- when it starts crackling add muthiya to it.
- Add salt if needed, sugar, coriander and mix it well- let it cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes- it makes it’s out layer crispy.
- Serve it with curd/tea or green chutney.
